After getting back from interview number eleven (still going strong over here) we decided it was most definitely time to get our Christmas tree. In spite of the lack of snow on the ground we had my parents bring their SUV over and join us for our early December tradition. I have a love-hate relationship with Christmas tree hunting. It's great if you find that tree fast before your hands have time to go numb, but that NEVER happens. Mostly because all Christmas trees look perfect until you start to actively look for things like gaps, and shape, and random completely irrelevant things like if there are needles dropping in the center. At that point its time to do yourself and everyone else a favor and just cut the tree down. So by the end we were getting pretty cold fingers and were more than ready to load the trees into the SUV and warm up with some Panera.
