Hello Third Year!

After taking a long break from blogging to study for my board exam/USMLE Step 1, I'm finally back. Yesterday, after not quite 8 hours of rapid fire, multiple-choice questions that made me doubt that I've even been going to medical school these past two years, I'm finally free. I walked out of that test center and just enjoyed the rest of a gorgeous, sunny day (with absolutely no studying!!). While I do plan on doing a post about how I prepared for step 1, for now I'll just leave you with this:

Number of days of dedicated board studying: 52
Number of times I wore makeup: maybe 4
Number of times I literally wanted to burn First Aid: too many to count

Honestly though, as much as there's no way to sugar coat the difficulty of the exam, I can honestly say that the 7 hours of exam time flew by. And although 52 days of your life seems like an eternity to spend studying, there are some things that are worth the work.
