This past weekend, Spencer and I bundled up to join my family for a sleigh ride and a hike before my sister left for college. The sleigh ride has been a tradition for the past few years, and we usually go much closer to Christmas. This year, Christmastime wasn't very snowy so we put our sleigh ride on hold until now.
The weather was perfect - sunny and clear, and I'm not going to lie any chance I get to be around horses makes me pretty happy. Anybody who's known me since I was in grade school will remember a little girl obsessed with horses. I used to think, breath, and dream horses and I've never completely grown out of that phase. While we were sitting in the lodge, I spotted a little girl grasping a horse figurine who got so excited when her mom told her that she'd get to see the horses soon. That was totally me as a child. And I still can't turn up a chance to pet, ride, or be around a horse and what better way to do that in the dead of winter than a sleigh ride through the snow?
The scarf that I'm wearing is from Aerie, but since I got it last year, it's no longer in stock online. I did see it in my nearest store last week, but if your not close by to an Aerie store, here are some other options that you can get online. My favorite is the one from Piperlime, but it's a bit pricey. The Topshop one is surprisingly cheap and I love it in gray!
