Basic

shirt//marshalls, jeans//old navy($25 here), shoes//ynot(old), necklace//lauren conrad ($10 here), ring//kohls, sunnies//ray bans from ebay

Spencer insisted on the high ponytail and when I say insisted, I mean he even made me redo it because apparently I can't tell the difference between a high-pony and a mid-pony. The kid has strong opinions. I snuck in the last picture because I tend to prefer my hair down. Either way it works because I switched between the two throughout the day anyways.

So I've come to the conclusion that summer's the best. I'm supposedly working a 50 hour work week, but it's been no where near that much so far. And I'm more than ok with that. I'd forgotten what it feels like to get out of work and be done for the night. No studying, no feeling guilty about not studying, just enjoying the freedom of evenings spent however I want. One thing they forget to warn you though, about the summer following first year, is the awful caffeine withdrawal headaches. Seriously, I was probably drinking four cups of coffee a day during the last month of school. I decided that I needed the coffee to keep me coherent, but I started drinking it completely black in order to keep from drinking an insane amount of calories. I was the picture of desperation walking into Starbucks and ordering an iced coffee with no ice, cream or sugar. I had them leave out the ice so there was more room for coffee, pathetic, I know. So basically I was drinking cold, black coffee..yum.

And on a happier note, tonight I'll be working at the refugee clinic again which I'm really looking forward to. Every time I work with patient's it makes me realize all over again why I love medicine. I'm fine with all the studying because I know it's important, but man does it feel good to spend some time doing what I signed up to do!

  1. Your hubs is hilarious. Our guys sure aren't afraid of telling us what they like lol. But I agree with him on this one, the high pony is very pretty with this outfit :-) Everything is so cool and crisp, I always find beauty in simplicity...and have you ever considered other caffeine substitutes or black tea? It has a lot of caffeine in it and probably some kind of health benefit I'm not yet aware of. Luckily I've been able to escape excessive amounts of caffeine for now, but we'll see. I just may start with the tea and only move to the coffee for reinforcement.

    1. Hahaha they sure aren't! I actually haven't thought about using tea. I always assumed it wouldn't be strong enough. If you have a specific brand you'd recommend, let me know! I do like tea so it might be nice to switch things up!
