The Last of Charleston

arthur ravenel jr. bridge

These are the last of the pictures we took on our anniversary trip to Charleston. The last day of our trip was really hot during the afternoon, so we decided to escape the heat and head to the South Carolina Aquarium. The aquarium isn't huge, but it had an incredible two-story tank in the middle with sharks, sea turtles, and tons of fish. One of my favorite tanks though, was the one with the jellyfish. The intense blue background made it easy to see each lacy tentacle. We also planned a walk across the Arthur Ravenel Jr. Bridge. The bridge is 2.5 miles long so a 5 mile walk round-trip. I'm so glad we chose to walk at night because seeing the bridge all lite up was incredible.
Our whole trip was so much fun and I'm glad we made the most of the entire week we had off before Spencer started classes again. With both of us being in school it's hard to find time off that works for both of us, but thankfully this year we got to truly celebrate! Each year is different though and even if next year isn't quite as accommodating, it's all about making the most of each day and appreciating the beauty of each moment you're given.
