My younger sister came over for a couple days this week, and as soon as Spencer finished his review session at school, we hopped into the car and drove to Sylvan beach. Sylvan beach has an old-timey feel to it, probably looking about the same way that it did back in the 50's. The old amusement park, which hadn't opened yet when we visited, was pretty much abandoned. We had the whole place to ourselves so we took advantage of the bright colors and fun backdrops to shoot some pictures. When my sister, Spencer, and I head out for a day trip, we always stumble upon some great spots, and this was no exception.
I picked up the floral maxi at Marshalls about a month ago. I've noticed that the majority of my closet is white, black, and blue so I've been trying to add some more color lately. The pops of pink and green and the summery pattern caught my eye, and since I've been searching for another maxi dress I got it. A couple days later, Mary from Happily Grey wore a similar pattern as a matching two-piece outfit from Topshop. I love Mary's style and I think the maxi is a good, more wearable alternative (at a more reasonable price too!).
