Before getting to much further into the school year, I wanted to share some of my pics from the vacation we took a few weeks back. For our last week of summer, we traveled to the Smokies in Tennessee with Spencer's family. The times where the entire family is all together, are few and far between, so this trip was truly special. While we were there we spent most of our time outside and thankfully the weather was beautiful! We went whitewater rafting, horseback riding, hiking and spent the one rainy day at the aquarium in Gatlinberg. Somehow I was able to convince Spencer to get up early most days and explore some hiking trails before the day heated up. My favorite hike was one we took to Baskins Creek Falls. We left at six in the morning and hiked all the way to the falls and back without seeing any other people. Once we got there, we were able to cool off in the falls and then sit quietly on a giant rock facing the water, taking it all in. It seems like so long ago now that I'm back into my med school routine, but its nice to click through the pictures and remember all the fun we had and memories we made.
Happy Monday!!!

Thanks for sharing & I'm glad that you got some time to yourself before things kicked back into full gear
