This week has been a doozy. My post-test celebration was cut short when we discovered that my family's cat, Sophie, had gotten out while we were away on vacation. The past week has been spent searching all over the neighborhood for her, posting fliers all over town, and going door-to-door asking people if they've seen her. We're all worried sick about her and as time goes on, it's hard not to think the worst. I keep hoping that my mom will call saying she showed up in our front yard.

On top of that this was my last week of research. The project is ongoing, so I plan on stopping by periodically throughout the year, but second year is sure to keep me busy! I've ordered my books, including the Step 1 review books I'll be using throughout the year. Although I won't begin my formal Step 1 studying until after my shelf exams end, I plan on becoming comfortable with the books I've chosen and referencing them throughout the year.

And we have one final trip before I dive into all that med school stuff. Spencer and I are headed to Tennessee with his family for a week in the Smokey Mountains. Although that won't leave much time to prep for classes beginning, it's just what I need to prepare. Med school is all about mental stamina. Spending time away, enjoying some free time, helps me stay motivated and focused. I'm looking forward to wearing some easy, summer outfits like the one above, in Tennessee. This girl's going to get the most out of her summer clothes before fall arrives! Enjoy the weekend!
